In the state of Pennsylvania, you do NOT need a prescription to start physical therapy if your PT has their direct access certificate. If treatment is to extend beyond 30 days, a valid prescription from a physician, surgeon, dentist, physician's assistant, or nurse practitioner is required. Note: this is required regardless of being in or out of network with your insurance.
LTLPT is an out of network provider with all insurance plans. If you're unsure whether your plan includes out-of-network benefits, we're happy to help you understand your options before your first visit.
